X embeds live stock charts and real-time prices in posts

X has started embedding live stock charts, real-time prices and daily percent changes directly inside cashtag posts. The feature was demonstrated by X’s head of product, Nikita Bier, who showed a live $TSLA chart preview in the feed.

The cashtag preview displays the current price, an interactive intraday chart and the day’s percent change. The data updates in real time inside the post so users can view market information without leaving X.

Bier’s post drew significant engagement from traders who use the platform for market commentary.

When a trader asked whether a year-to-date chart option was coming, Bier wrote “Coming soon.” Year-to-date views allow users to compare a security’s performance over the current calendar year.

The upgrade builds on X’s smart cashtags framework, which covers both stocks and cryptocurrencies. An earlier smart cashtag rollout generated an estimated $1 billion in trading volume within 48 hours.

X has tested in-feed trading, introduced a crypto trading terminal tied to smart cashtags and is developing X Money, a wallet project built with Visa. The company has also added features such as XChat to combine social conversation with financial tools.

Market participants will watch how quickly the year-to-date view is delivered and whether X expands embedded coverage to include more international stocks and additional crypto tickers.
