Worldcoin rises 20% after Eightco discloses 283M WLD stake

Eightco Holdings reported holding 283,452,700 WLD as of June 10, a stake the company values at roughly $406 million. The disclosure coincided with a roughly 21% price increase for Worldcoin on June 15, lifting the token to about $0.61.

The WLD position equals about 8.4% of the token’s circulating supply and is the largest publicly disclosed institutional holding in Worldcoin. Eightco added WLD to a broader digital-asset treasury that also includes more than 16,000 ether and about $90 million of exposure tied to investments related to OpenAI.

Eightco described the purchase as a bet on digital identity, citing high levels of non-human web traffic and automated trading activity. The company presented Worldcoin’s Proof of Human network as a verification layer for online interactions. Worldcoin was co-founded by Sam Altman and reports more than 16 million verified users. Recent market interest in projects connected to OpenAI has been present alongside speculation about a possible OpenAI public listing.

On the daily chart, WLD cleared the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement near $0.57 and reached about $0.61 on June 15, extending the token’s 30-day gain to roughly 154%. The token approached a prior swing high around $0.66. The daily relative strength index recorded lower highs while price printed higher highs. Immediate support is near $0.45, with deeper support around $0.33.

Intraday action has followed a rising parallel channel on the hourly timeframe that formed on May 26, was briefly violated in early June and then reasserted. Volume rose on the latest breakout but remained below the peaks seen in early June.

The disclosure highlights a large institutional allocation to WLD and market participants are monitoring whether $0.45 holds as support and whether trading volume increases as price tests the prior swing high near $0.66.
