Whales, $285M in ETF Inflows Lift XRP Above $1.16
XRP climbed above $1.16 as large holders added to positions and US spot XRP ETFs drew about $285 million in inflows from April through early July; the token later eased toward $1.14.
XRP rose above $1.16 this week after large holders increased balances and US-listed spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded about $285 million in inflows from April through early July. The token eased to around $1.14 at the time of reporting.
On-chain records show wallets holding between 100,000 and 100 million XRP increased their combined balances by about 2.8% over the past five weeks. At the same time, the smallest retail wallets, those with less than 0.01 XRP, cut holdings by roughly 5.2% over the same period.
Centralized exchange flow data indicate large wallets accounted for 77.8% of XRP outflows on July 22, up from about 63% on May 6. On one major exchange, large holders made up 71% of withdrawals on July 22 versus 67% in early May, while retail withdrawals declined to about 28.7% from 32%.
Deposits from large holders to that exchange fell about 96%, dropping from roughly 583 million XRP at a previous peak to about 25.3 million XRP in the latest reading. The 90-day average value of large inflows to the platform fell to about $69 million from about $460 million in January 2025. The data do not identify the destinations of withdrawn XRP.
The four US spot XRP ETFs recorded inflows of about $81.6 million in April, $131.9 million in May, $59.5 million in June and roughly $12 million so far in July, totaling about $285 million across the four months. Since their launch, cumulative net inflows into those funds are near $1.49 billion and reported total assets stand at about $1.06 billion. When funds receive subscriptions, managers or counterparties may acquire XRP to cover newly created shares.
At the time of reporting, XRP was trading near $1.14. Market participants are monitoring deposit and withdrawal flows on exchanges alongside ETF subscriptions and spot market buying for signs of any sustained price movement.
