Visa, Circle, Haun add $10M to Velocity Series A

Velocity secured a $10 million Series A extension from Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures and Haun Ventures, bringing total Series A to $48 million for stablecoin payments and treasury infrastructure.

Velocity, a London-based stablecoin payments and treasury platform, announced a $10 million Series A extension on 15 September 2026. Lead investors include Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures and Haun Ventures; the round also involves Ripple, Translink Capital and Mirana Ventures. The extension brings Velocity’s Series A total to $48 million.

The company plans to use the funds to build settlement, liquidity and treasury infrastructure for issuers, acquirers, payment providers, financial institutions and merchants. Velocity’s platform is designed to let institutions use regulated stablecoins for settlement and liquidity without replacing existing back-office systems.

The platform can reduce reliance on prefunding and enable settlement beyond standard banking hours by linking stablecoin networks with banks’ existing rails. Velocity targets corporate finance teams that seek faster settlement, clearer visibility into cross-border cash flows and lower foreign-exchange and liquidity frictions.

Eric Queathem, founder and CEO, said: “We are excited to welcome several new investors to Velocity, including Visa through Visa Ventures. From day one, we have focused on improving how money moves through the payments ecosystem. These investors operate at the center of that ecosystem and will provide invaluable insight as we use stablecoins to transform the experience.”

Rubail Birwadker, Global Head of Growth Products and Strategic Partnerships at Visa, commented that “Stablecoins are playing an increasingly important role in reshaping how value moves across the Visa ecosystem, and companies like Velocity are helping accelerate adoption and unlock new opportunities for our customers and partners.”

Chris Ahn, partner at Haun Ventures, described stablecoins as “a foundational layer for global finance” and framed Haun’s investment as consistent with prior bets on stablecoin and financial infrastructure companies.

The company said the additional capital will support product development and commercial expansion across payments and treasury functions worldwide. Media inquiries can be directed to press@velocity.xyz.
