USDT Climbs 16% in Venezuela’s P2P Market to 810 Bolivars

USDT rose 16% in Venezuela’s peer-to-peer market over 30 days, surpassing 800 bolivars on Binance and peaking at 810 bolivars before a modest pullback.

Tether’s USDT gained 16% in Venezuela’s peer-to-peer market over the past 30 days, pushing the unit price above 800 bolivars on Binance and reaching a high of 810 bolivars. Trading levels later eased to about 794 bolivars.

Data from P2P.Army show the USDT-to-bolivar rate climbed steadily between mid-May and mid-June 2026. The price rise was concentrated on Binance’s P2P marketplace, which accounts for the largest share of over-the-counter crypto trading in Venezuela.

Official figures from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) recorded total monetary liquidity at roughly 2.17 trillion bolivars at the end of June 5. That figure is 23.26% higher than the 1.76 trillion bolivars reported on May 8 and 131.17% higher than the 0.93 trillion bolivars on January 2, according to BCV data.

Market participants reported that the surge in local currency supply coincided with reduced availability of official foreign currency at bank exchange desks. Traders and residents increased activity in digital asset markets as local demand for foreign currency alternatives rose.

Visa on-chain analytics shows USDT remains the dominant stablecoin by supply and transaction volumes globally. Separately, regulatory pressure in the European Union prompted some major exchanges to delist Tether, a development market sources said caused short-term disruption and renewed scrutiny of the token.

Analyst Hever Castro wrote on X: “The gap now influences daily business.” Castro connected the widening gap between available traditional foreign currency and rising public demand to changes in local exchange behavior.

The price movement and liquidity data indicate heightened activity in Venezuela’s P2P crypto market in June 2026, with USDT trading reflecting both local monetary conditions and shifts in stablecoin availability.
