Strive bought 20 BTC between July 27 and July 31 at an average price of about $63,191 per coin, including fees and expenses, increasing its Bitcoin holdings from 20,000 BTC to 20,020 BTC. The company filed the details on Aug. 3.
The filing shows effective common shares, the sum of Class A and Class B shares, rose by 110,000 Class A shares to 84,209,973 from 84,099,973. The filing does not explain the reason for the Class A issuance.

Strive’s cash and cash equivalents decreased from $154.0 million on July 24 to $151.3 million on July 31. The filing does not link the cash balance change or the Class A share issuance to funding of the 20 BTC purchase.
