Kraken to Close Withdrawals for 21 Tokens on Aug. 27

Kraken will close withdrawals for 21 delisted tokens at 14:00 UTC on Aug. 27; remaining balances will be automatically liquidated Sept. 1–5 and may yield minimal or no proceeds if markets lack liquidity.

Kraken will disable general withdrawals for 21 delisted tokens at 14:00 UTC on Aug. 27. Balances left on the exchange after that deadline are scheduled for automatic liquidation between Sept. 1 and Sept. 5.

The affected tokens are AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, FARM, GARI, K, KET, KINTO, LOBO, MOON, MV, NYM, RAIIN, RHEA, SAROS, SDN, SPC, SPICE, TEA and TEER. The delisting notice states the TEER project has ceased operations, that on-chain transactions for TEER will not process, and that trading and funding for TEER will remain paused.

Trading and deposits for the listed assets were halted on May 29 at 14:00 UTC. The exchange’s timetable separates three stages: the May 29 suspension of trading and deposits, the Aug. 27 withdrawal cutoff, and the scheduled Sept. 1–5 liquidation window for any remaining balances.

The notice makes clear liquidations will be executed based on prevailing market conditions during the Sept. 1–5 window. Kraken did not guarantee specific execution times or prices. The exchange warned several of the delisted tokens have limited or inactive markets and that liquidation prices could be significantly below recent reference prices. In cases of insufficient liquidity, sales could produce minimal or no proceeds.

The delisting notice does not tie the liquidation schedule to a particular jurisdiction; separate disclosures on the same page note geographic restrictions may apply. Holders who withdraw their assets before the Aug. 27 cutoff retain control over timing and execution. After the cutoff, the exchange controls when sales occur within the execution window and available liquidity will determine final returns.

Kraken did not provide a token-by-token liquidation timetable or promise specific prices for sales during the Sept. 1–5 window. The notice advises holders who wish to avoid automatic liquidation to withdraw affected assets before 14:00 UTC on Aug. 27.
