Gate partners with Alpaca to offer 10,000 U.S. stocks
Gate will let eligible users trade 10,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs with fractional shares from $1 and USDT funding; Alpaca will handle execution, clearing, settlement and custody.
Gate has partnered with U.S. broker-dealer Alpaca to give eligible users access to more than 10,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The service will support fractional-share trades starting at $1 and allow users to fund trades with USDT through Gate’s unified account system.
Alpaca will provide the regulated brokerage infrastructure for order execution, clearing, settlement and custody. The integration will connect Gate users to major U.S. exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq, using Alpaca’s self-clearing framework.
Gate said the offering will operate on regulated market infrastructure and provide trading in real securities rather than synthetic products. The company plans to launch the service through its existing account structure so eligible customers do not need a separate brokerage account to trade U.S. equities and ETFs.
The fractional-share feature sets a $1 minimum for purchases, enabling smaller-dollar orders. Trades can be funded with USDT from balances held in Gate’s unified account, simplifying transfers between digital assets and equity trading on the platform.
Alpaca is a U.S.-headquartered, API-first broker-dealer that supports fintechs and institutions in more than 40 countries. The firm reports it powers over 10 million brokerage accounts and has raised more than $320 million in funding. As the clearing broker for Gate, Alpaca will also handle dividend processing and corporate actions for the listed securities.
Gate was founded in 2013 and manages a platform that serves more than 54 million users and lists thousands of digital tokens. The company has added products such as a dedicated wallet and venture arm, and maintains a policy of 100% proof of reserves.
Gate has not announced a firm public launch date. Availability will be limited to eligible users and subject to regulatory requirements and onboarding processes in relevant jurisdictions.
Dr. Han, Gate’s founder and CEO, called the partnership a step toward closer connectivity between digital assets and traditional markets and said users expect seamless access to multiple asset classes from a single platform. Yoshi Yokokawa, co-founder and CEO of Alpaca, described the collaboration as a way to expand global access to U.S. markets using modern brokerage infrastructure.
