Fidelity’s $310M Inflow Boosts U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs

Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund added $310.7 million to U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on Sept. 18, extending a two-day rebound and leaving the week with $6.1 million net inflows.

On Sept. 18, Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) contributed $310.7 million to U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, extending inflows for a second straight session and leaving the five-day week with a net $6.1 million inflow.

Trading data showed U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $433 million of net inflows on Friday. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) added $108.4 million. Bitwise’s BITB, ARK 21Shares’ ARKB and VanEck’s HODL also posted smaller positive flows.

The two-day recovery on Thursday and Friday totaled $592.5 million. Withdrawals of $746.3 million on Tuesday and Wednesday left a shortfall of $153.8 million against those midweek outflows. Monday’s inflow of $159.9 million brought the five-session total to $6.1 million.

Across the full week IBIT accumulated $120.6 million in net inflows while FBTC added $79.9 million, leaving BlackRock as the larger net recipient over the period.

Withdrawals occurred on Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, the day before and the day of the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise its target range by 25 basis points to 3.75%-4.00%. Available flow data do not establish a direct causal link between the policy decision and ETF flows.

Subsequent trading sessions will show whether inflows remain spread across multiple issuers or return to concentration among the largest funds.
