Ethena brings USDe and sUSDe to TRON via Stargate
Ethena Labs and TRON DAO launched USDe and sUSDe on TRON on Sept. 11, 2026; users can bridge, hold and transfer via Stargate Finance while mint and redeem remain on Ethereum.
Ethena Labs and TRON DAO announced on Sept. 11, 2026 that USDe and sUSDe are live on TRON. The tokens can be bridged, held and transferred on TRON through Stargate Finance, while minting and redemption of the underlying positions remain on Ethereum.
The announcement, issued from Geneva and Lisbon, said the launch places Ethena’s digital-dollar products on TRON’s network with bridged access handled by Stargate. Ethena described the release as bringing “product lines” to TRON’s stablecoin ecosystem, and clarified that the deployment enables custody and transfers on TRON rather than native minting on the chain.
At launch, users can move USDe and sUSDe to TRON via the Stargate bridge and use on-chain transfers and storage within TRON. The tokens on TRON represent bridged positions linked to liquidity and issuance that continue to be managed on Ethereum.
Ethena and TRON indicated further integrations are planned in the coming weeks. The release named JustLend DAO and SUN.io as core decentralized finance applications expected to add support first, with additional wallet, exchange and payments integrations to follow. TRON balances will remain interoperable with Ethena’s other supported networks, according to the companies.
The announcement cited TRON metrics to describe network scale: more than 403 million accounts, over 15 billion transactions, a circulating USDT supply above $94 billion and total value locked on the network above $28 billion. Ethena’s circulating USDe supply was reported at about $4.5 billion in mid-September 2026, highlighting that bridged availability does not immediately equal local stablecoin liquidity on TRON.
USDe is structured as a synthetic, delta-neutral dollar rather than a fiat-reserve stablecoin. The release advised users and service providers to verify contract addresses and token lists on Stargate and in Ethena documentation before treating any TRC-20 labels as official. The companies said on-chain listings and integrations across TRON DeFi apps will determine the broader use of USDe and sUSDe on the network beyond initial bridge flows.
