Eric Trump’s airport logo lifts Trump meme coins higher

Eric Trump’s unveiling of a logo for the proposed Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach corresponded with modest gains in several Trump-themed cryptocurrencies. Official Trump (TRUMP) rose 3.75%, MAGA gained 3.29% and TrumpCoin (DJT) added 1.1%.

Eric Trump posted a gold eagle emblem on X and wrote that he was “looking forward to seeing flights landing at ‘DJT’ very very soon!” He described the image as the “OFFICIAL logo for the Donald J. Trump International Airport” and congratulated his father.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation in March to rename Palm Beach International Airport to Donald J. Trump International Airport, with the change scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026. A separate federal bill and approval from the International Air Transport Association are required before the airport code can change from PBI to DJT. The state has earmarked about $5.5 million for new signage and rebranding, and trademark filings linked to the Trump Organization were submitted ahead of the signing.

The largest price move was in TRUMP, a Solana-based meme token that was publicly endorsed by Donald Trump three days before his January 2025 inauguration. TRUMP’s market capitalization is above $558 million, while the token trades roughly 96% below its $73.43 launch peak. MAGA, a community token tied to the broader pro-Trump movement, posted similar percentage gains.

TrumpCoin (DJT), which is most directly associated with the proposed airport call letters, recorded the smallest increase. Its market value is near $647,000, more than 99% below its 2024 high, and it shows relatively thin daily trading volume.

Trump-themed tokens have reacted previously to remarks by the former president and to gatherings of large holders. The July 1, 2026 state effective date and any subsequent federal or IATA actions are calendar items market participants will be watching for potential further activity around DJT-related tokens.
