Cyber tells users to withdraw CyberWallet funds by Aug. 15
Cyber will take CyberWallet and Cyber Passkey Wallet interfaces offline on Aug. 15; users must withdraw assets before then or recovery will require unsupported smart-contract interaction.
Cyber announced that its CyberWallet and Cyber Passkey Wallet interfaces will be taken offline on Aug. 15. Account holders must withdraw all assets before that date. After the cutoff, tokens will remain on their blockchains but cannot be moved through Cyber’s interfaces.
Cyber’s shutdown notice instructs CyberWallet users to transfer supported tokens to the signer wallet linked to their account. Passkey Wallet users must move assets to an external wallet and confirm their Passkey Wallet balances are cleared. The notice did not give a specific time or time zone for the Aug. 15 cutoff and cautioned users not to assume the interfaces will be available for the full day.
The company warned that anyone holding funds after the interfaces close will need to interact directly with the relevant smart contracts to recover tokens. Cyber stated it will not provide support for those manual contract interactions and did not publish a product-specific recovery plan for missed withdrawals.
SmartGas deposits held in CyberWallet cannot be withdrawn through the normal interface. Eligible CyberWallet holders will receive Surf coupons as the resolution for those deposits. Passkey Wallet does not support SmartGas deposits.
Cyber’s public homepage and both wallet URLs responded on Aug. 14, but the company noted that site reachability did not guarantee users could authenticate, load balances, or perform transfers. The shutdown notice did not explain why the interfaces are closing or outline further customer support options.
Users with any remaining balances are advised to complete transfers using the product-specific paths before Aug. 15 to avoid relying on unsupported recovery methods.
