Circle removes USDC and EURC redemption overage fees
Circle is removing USDC and EURC redemption overage fees for billing periods starting Oct. 19 or later. Express redemptions will retain a 0.05% fee before credits.
Circle is removing its separate net-redemption overage fee for USDC and EURC redemptions under a revised Circle Mint schedule taking effect for billing periods starting Oct. 19, 2026, or later. Existing customers will receive the new pricing at the start of their next eligible billing period.
The schedule applies to institutional Circle Mint customers, including exchanges, banks, wallet providers and institutional traders. Circle Mint is not available to individuals or customers minting stablecoins for personal use.
The new Standard option has no Circle redemption fee and replaces the previous Basic tier. Express redemptions will cost 0.05% of the gross redemption amount before any eligible credits. The fee equals five basis points.
Circle is retiring the previous Standard tier, which included a daily net-redemption fee and a $10 million daily gross-redemption limit. Standard processing can take up to two business days. Express processing is described as near instant, although both options require additional time for bank settlement after Circle processes a request.
Processing time starts when Circle accepts a complete request. Compliance, fraud or sanctions reviews, along with unavailable banking partners or payment rails, can extend the timeline. Circle said those processing and settlement conditions remain unchanged.
Express customers may receive credits when they mint more USDC or EURC than they redeem during a billing period. Net minting is calculated by subtracting gross redemptions from gross mints. Eligible positive net minting receives a 25% credit, rising to 75% at $40 million and 100% at $100 million.
Credits cannot exceed the redemption fees paid by a customer and are based on activity during the relevant billing period. They are not guaranteed. Customers with zero or negative net minting will not receive a credit. Circle Payments Network activity is exempt from Express redemption fees.
Separate written agreements may take precedence over the public fee schedule.
