ChangeNOW Tops Swaps in Zelcore’s Multi-Chain Wallet
Zelcore added the ChangeNOW Exchange API in 2021; five years later ChangeNOW is the most-used swap provider in Zelcore’s aggregated exchange backend.
Zelcore integrated the ChangeNOW Exchange API in 2021 to enable users to swap assets inside its multi-chain, non-custodial wallet. Five years after the integration, Zelcore reports ChangeNOW is the most-used swap provider in its aggregated exchange backend.
Before the ChangeNOW integration, Zelcore supported more than 70 blockchains and required users to leave the app to complete trades on external exchanges. Those external flows could require moving assets into custodial services, submitting identity checks or following third-party controls.
Zelcore considered building an in-house exchange layer but declined. The company identified operational and regulatory tasks that would be needed, including routing trades, sourcing liquidity, managing providers, complying with KYC and AML rules, obtaining licenses in multiple jurisdictions and supporting many assets at launch.
The ChangeNOW API allowed in-wallet swaps without Zelcore taking custody of user assets. When Zelcore moved from direct provider relationships to an aggregated exchange backend, ChangeNOW competed alongside centralized and decentralized routes on observable metrics: exchange rates, execution speed, settlement quality, route availability and developer and user support.
Zelcore reported that across a full crypto market cycle ChangeNOW outperformed other routes on those metrics and remained the route users selected most often. Zelcore noted the integration increased on-platform activity and created a revenue stream tied to swap usage, and that listed tokens gained an on-ramps for user transactions.
In a statement, Zelcore wrote: “ChangeNOW is the most-used swap provider in Zelcore’s aggregated exchange backend, outperforming every other route we offer, CeFi and DeFi alike.” The company said the partnership persisted through the transition to backend aggregation.
