Bithumb lists PayPal USD (PYUSD) on KRW market

Bithumb announced it will add PayPal USD (PYUSD) and Quark AI (Q) to its Korean won (KRW) market, with trading scheduled to begin at 15:00 KST on Sept. 28, 2026. Deposit and withdrawal windows for both tokens were set to open within roughly two hours of the exchange notice.

PYUSD deposits and withdrawals on the exchange will be supported only on the Ethereum network. Q deposits and withdrawals will be supported only on the BNB Smart Chain. The exchange warned that sending PYUSD on any network other than Ethereum is not supported and can cause permanent loss or lengthy return processes.

To limit volatility at launch, Bithumb will apply temporary trading limits. Buy orders will be restricted for about the first five minutes. Sell orders outside a minus-10-percent to plus-100-percent band versus the reference price will be restricted in the same initial window. Only limit orders will be accepted for roughly the first two hours after trading begins.

The notice also states that Travel Rule requirements apply to incoming transfers. Deposits routed from unsupported virtual asset service providers may not credit automatically, and returns can be delayed. The exchange advised users to confirm the on-screen deposit address and selected network before sending funds.

PYUSD is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust and distributed through PayPal and Venmo on a 1:1 USD basis. Bithumb’s KRW listing provides local traders access to a Paxos-issued dollar stablecoin on the exchange’s won order book.

The exchange urged users to consult the live notice board and the deposit screen for the accurate token contract and network details before funding an account. Early order books and the temporary limits may produce constrained price prints that do not reflect deep liquidity or issuer redemption prices.
