Bitget launches Universal Cup with 250,000 USDT prizes
Bitget opens Universal Cup mini-game from June 11–July 19, 2026, with a 250,000 USDT prize pool; players represent 48 countries in a penalty-shootout leaderboard.
Bitget launched Universal Cup on June 11, a football-themed mini-game that runs through July 19, 2026, offering a 250,000 USDT prize pool. The campaign invites users to represent one of 48 countries and compete on a live global leaderboard via the company’s Universal Exchange platform.
The game stages a penalty-shootout challenge in which players take shots at moving targets labelled Crypto, Stocks and CFDs. Individual scores add to national totals to create a real-time leaderboard. Participants can change the country they support at any time, allowing continued play after a team is eliminated from the real-world tournament.
Prizes are allocated across multiple formats: daily rewards for active players, leaderboard payouts for top scorers, random lucky-draw prizes and final championship awards. Bitget said additional rewards will go to members of the nation that finishes first. The company provided an outline of how the 250,000 USDT pool will be distributed but did not publish a detailed breakdown of individual prize amounts.
Bitget described the event as a phased tournament, with top players able to compete for rewards during each stage. The campaign is open globally through the Universal Exchange platform.
Bitget characterises itself as the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX) and reports more than 125 million users. The company says its platform provides access to over 2 million crypto tokens and more than 100 tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, FX and precious metals, and includes an AI trading agent intended to assist with trade execution.
Bitget has previously worked with football player Lionel Messi and is an official regional partner of LALIGA in Eastern, Southeast Asian and Latin American markets. The company also lists MotoGP among its sports partners and has a collaboration with UNICEF to support blockchain education for 1.1 million people by 2027.
Gracy Chen, Bitget’s chief executive, said the Universal Cup was designed to convert spectators into active participants and to offer a way for users to engage with the Universal Exchange ecosystem.
The company included a risk notice reminding participants that digital assets can be volatile and that the campaign should not be taken as financial advice. Bitget advised users to consider their personal financial situations before trading and stated it accepts no liability for potential losses.
