Bitfinex sets Aug. 31 deadline to withdraw 13 delisted tokens

Bitfinex announced users holding 13 delisted cryptocurrencies must withdraw their assets by 10:00 UTC on Aug. 31 or they will lose standard withdrawal access.

After the cutoff, normal withdrawals for the affected tokens will be disabled. Retrievals will be handled manually at the exchange’s discretion during a two-month window. Recovery requests may incur fees deducted from recovered amounts, do not have a fixed completion timeline and are not guaranteed to succeed.

The affected tokens are Cosmos (ATOM), Bit2Me (B2M), Bitget Token (BGB), EigenLayer (EIGEN), Vaulta (A), GateToken (GT), Jupiter (JUP), Kava (KAVA), Lido (LDO), NEO, Nexo (NEXO), OMNI and Ultra (UOS). Customers must also clear any NEOGAS balances. Some assets may appear under alternative platform or API codes, for example ATO for Cosmos or EOS for Vaulta. Tether (USDT) on Cosmos and Unus Sed LEO on Vaulta are not included and remain available.

Users attempting normal transfers before the deadline will face a $5-equivalent minimum withdrawal plus asset-specific network fees. Moving very small balances may be uneconomical when fees are taken into account.

For Japanese yen and JPY-PERP balances, the exchange will automatically convert any remaining JPY to USDT outside the public order book. Bitfinex retains the right to execute that conversion at an undisclosed time and at the prevailing market rate and to deduct a 5% fee from the funds.

Bitfinex halted deposits and trading for the listed tokens in July after an earlier notice issued in June. The current update provides a final standard-withdrawal window before the recovery process becomes the only option.

Customers holding the named assets are advised to verify token codes and balances and move funds before Aug. 31 if they wish to retain standard withdrawal access.
