Bitcoin ETF inflows top Ethereum by $630 million

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $526.7 million on Oct. 19, led by BlackRock’s $665.2 million inflow, while Ethereum ETFs posted $103.3 million in outflows.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $526.7 million on Oct. 19, reversing withdrawals from the previous week and exceeding Ethereum ETF outflows by $630 million, according to SoSoValue data.

The Bitcoin funds recorded their largest combined inflow in nearly two weeks. Investors had withdrawn $228.4 million from the funds during the five trading sessions through Oct. 16.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, or IBIT, led the inflows with $665.2 million, its strongest daily result since Oct. 7, 2025. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $83.6 million in outflows, while Grayscale’s GBTC lost $54.9 million. The other nine Bitcoin funds reported no net flows.

Bitcoin recovered to about $82,800 on Oct. 19 after briefly falling below $80,000 the previous week. The cryptocurrency faced selling pressure after stronger-than-expected U.S. inflation data increased expectations that the Federal Reserve could keep interest rates higher for longer.

Demand for Bitcoin ETFs remained uneven. The funds recorded about $907 million in combined outflows during the two weeks before Oct. 19, including $679 million in the week ended Oct. 9. The latest inflow reduced net withdrawals over the three-week period to about $380 million. Daily flows have alternated between gains and losses for six consecutive trading sessions.

The latest inflows lifted cumulative net investment in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs to $57.40 billion. Their combined assets reached $105.46 billion, equal to about 6.4% of Bitcoin’s market capitalization, according to SoSoValue.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $103.3 million in outflows on Oct. 19. BlackRock’s Ethereum fund, ETHA, accounted for $95.4 million of the withdrawals.

The outflow extended a 15-session period during which Ethereum ETFs lost more than $1.1 billion. The funds recorded only one positive session during that period, with a $24.8 million inflow on Oct. 13.

Cumulative net inflows into Ethereum ETFs fell from nearly $14 billion to $12.84 billion. Combined assets declined from $17.79 billion to $14.7 billion, reflecting investor withdrawals and the fall in Ethereum’s market value.
