Bitcoin drops below $83,000 in Asian session

Bitcoin slipped below $83,000 during Monday’s Asian session, extending last week’s retreat from near $87,000 and breaking the $83,000–$85,000 trading band.

Bitcoin fell below $83,000 during the Asian session on Monday, trading around $82,953 after a 05:34 UTC quote on Binance showed Bitcoin under 83,000 USDT. The price was down about 1.8% over the prior 24 hours and followed a pullback from roughly $87,000 earlier last week.

Early Asia trading showed higher oil and longer-dated U.S. Treasury yields. Brent crude futures rose about 1.6% toward $106 a barrel, and the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield moved to about 5.51%. Market participants linked the oil rise to renewed doubts over a U.S.-Iran truce. Higher government bond yields increase the return on safe assets and can put pressure on risk-sensitive instruments.

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds reported net inflows of $134.5 million for Friday, Sept. 25, according to a live table from Farside Investors, down from $190.7 million on Thursday when checked on Monday. Those Friday figures cover the final U.S. trading session before the weekend; the sub‑$83,000 quote on Binance occurred during a later Asian trading window.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization was about $1.68 trillion, 24-hour trading volume near $33.6 billion and circulating supply roughly 20.09 million coins. A move back into the $83,000–$85,000 band would return the price to the range reported late last week; continued trading below that band would establish a lower price area for market participants.
