Bitwise brings crypto model portfolios to Parrot retail app

Bitwise is adding its crypto model portfolios to Parrot Finance’s retail investing app, offering themed, monitored and systematically rebalanced crypto allocations via in‑app recommendations.
Bitwise and Parrot Finance announced on June 18 that Bitwise’s crypto model portfolios will be available inside Parrot’s retail investing app. Parrot describes itself as an SEC-registered investment adviser that links users’ brokerage accounts, offers institutional portfolios, uses an algorithmic recommendation split and charges a subscription fee. Parrot’s Form CRS lists both discretionary and non-discretionary advisory services and outlines fees, conflicts and investment risks.
Parrot clients will be able to select model portfolios that were first built for financial professionals. The lineup includes core portfolios for broad crypto exposure, crypto-equity strategies that provide company-level exposure instead of direct token holdings, and thematic portfolios focused on areas such as stablecoin infrastructure and tokenization. One risk-managed portfolio rotates between long positions in Bitcoin and ether futures and allocations to U.S. Treasuries based on momentum signals. Bitwise says the models are monitored and rebalanced systematically to limit drift from target allocations.
The portfolios will appear in Parrot’s consumer-facing recommendation interface, where users can choose a managed allocation rather than selecting individual tickers. Bitwise stated Parrot’s platform holds more than $200 million in collective assets. The companies did not provide numbers for how many users will adopt the models or how much capital will flow into them. The announcement establishes a distribution channel but does not report investor flows.
Bitwise began offering digital-asset model portfolios to financial advisors earlier in the year, launching solutions for advisors in February and expanding distribution with an advisory partner in April. The Parrot integration applies the same portfolio framework in a consumer automated-advice setting.
Bitwise cited research showing third-party model portfolio assets rose from roughly $400 billion in 2023 to about $645 billion in 2025, and noted that many model providers rank custom models as a distribution priority. Parrot and Bitwise have not released usage or uptake figures for the new retail offering; any future disclosures on adoption or asset flows would come from the firms.
